Adam Murfet - International - Water Skiing


Biography:

Adam is British water ski racer, currently British Silver medalist and ranked 6th in Europe. He has been water-skiing socially since he was a young child and playing football at the same time.  He did football trials between  the ages  of 13-16, and was signed as a centre-forward for Cambridge City's academy in May 2004 following spells at Norwich City, Cambridge United and Northampton Town. He turned down a scholarship from Southend at the time as he opted to stay in his hometown of Cambridge. Age 18, after much success in club racing he left Cambridge City to concentrate on his water-skiing determined to take it to the next level. The same year, Adam was selected to represent Great Britain in the European Water Skiing Championships in Holland at 18.

Adam chose to compete on the national circuit, and now spends every weekend racing in addition to three-four nights training in the gym. He also manages to juggle his busy training programme around a full-time job in the family-run Property Development business, Murfet Developments, based in Sawston.
