Mike Mullen - World Masterclass Champion - BMX (cycling)

Biography:


Mike began riding BMX bikes when he was 10 as a hobby after school, after having watched the televised competition 'BMX Beat' during the eighties. He asked for a BMX as a Christmas present and from then on just couldn’t get enough of it!

His career has included competition world titles, jobs as a performer, company director, coach and mentor to young people. Mike has also been involved in numerous TV commercials, in addition to performing with the team at events in Cape Town, Shanghai, Munich, Barcelona, Fuerteventura and the Laureus World Sports Awards in Monaco.

To date Mike is the 1994 World Amateur Champion and 1998 BMX World Masterclass Champion, having won the Halfpipe category at the 1998 BMX Freestyle Worlds in Portugal. Other competition results include,joint first with Jay Miron in the 'Highest Air' contest at the Urban Games '04, 1st in the King of Concrete, 7th in Pro at the Worlds and 5th in the European X Games.
