Nicola Minichiello - International - Bobsleigh



Biography:

Nicola has been a leading member of the Great Britain Bobsleigh team since 2001 and has regularly pushed the barriers in terms of what is expected from an athlete in a non alpine nation.

She has been the British number one driver for the past 8 years and has competed in the last three Olympic Games. 

At the 2005 World Championships Nicola won a silver medal, which was Great Britain’s first World Championship medal in over 40 years however in 2009 she eclipsed this, making history by  becoming the first British female ever to win the  World Championship title.

Prior to competing in Bobsleigh Nicola was a top ranked Heptathlete, representing Great Britain for over eight years at a variety of events at European and World level competitions.
