All of the sports performers we work with have a wealth of skills and experience gained over the course of their careers that can be used to give back to benefit sport and young people via a whole host of routeways ranging from coaching, youth work, mentoring, business development and board representation to name but a few.

To make sure they make the most of these skills, we work with a range of organisations to provide :

• A one stop shop for access to appropriate support and opportunities;
• A high quality career transition programme including mentoring where appropriate;
• Bespoke professional development support and route ways into sport and education;
• High quality business/work placements and employment opportunities.
  

Our work in action

The DKH Legacy Trust National Support Programme is designed to develop and enhance the skills  of our sports performers  for their chosen career path. For those who aren't sure what they want to do, it helps them discover their values and interest to decide what areas they may want to pursue for a career.

This support comes through a number of avenues:

• Access to our community of networking and training sessions which are growing throughout the UK, find out about the most recent 'Harnessing Talent Club'
• Access to National Conferences, find out about our most recent 'Harnessing Your Talent Camp'
• Access to specialists within the DKH Legacy Trust Academy – ranging from personal Coaches/Mentors to specialists in business, sport administration, sports coaching, sports science, learning & education, young people development, governance and leadership.
• Access to qualifications such coaching and mentoring
• Opportunity to 'give back' and learn on the job through our various 'Inspiring Sport' and 'Inspiring Lives'
