Sonia McGeorge - Olympian – Athletics


Biography:
Sonia ran the 5000m for Great Britain at the 1996 Olympic Games

Sonia is currently the Co-director for the BHF National Centre in Loughborough, and is also the Project Manager for Young People. she has worked for over nineteen years on physical activity based projects for Loughborough University. Her particular interest during this time has been on promoting physical activity to all young people and she has worked with many national organisations in producing key resources and training to help practitioners promote activity to young people.

She also coaches young people and adults of all abilities to help them improve their athletics and all round fitness.


DKH Legacy Trust:
Sonia has been involved with numerous projects with the Trust. Including the Inspiring Sport "Sporting Champions" project for which she has been a selector, and the "National Support Programme" for harnessing talent athletes, where she will be providing training for working with young people.
