As the DKH Legacy Trust celebrates its 2nd birthday this month, Dame Kelly Holmes has been globe trotting, her latest travels being to India with the Prime Minister ahead of the Commonwealth Games this October at New Delhi. But her travels haven’t stopped her strumming up a whole host of celebrity well-wishers along the way!
It seems the stars just couldn’t resist celebrating with the Double- Olympic champion as star athletes lined up to wish the Trust a Happy Birthday.
First up was World Record Holder marathon runner Paula Radcliffe, who gave a beaming smile and thumbs up for Kelly and the Trust.
Next was four times Olympic and eight-time World Champion 400m runner Michael Johnson, who joined BBC athletics sports commentator and 1500m British Record Holder Steve Cram. Both managed a warm hug for the Dame.
Last was by none other than tennis legend, Martina Navratilova, the nine times singles Wimbledon champion described as “the greatest singles, doubles and mixed doubles player who’s ever lived". She kicked off the birthday wishes earlier this month at Wimbledon.
