30/07/2010 News! James Caan & C4’s Secret Millionaire Round-up Birthday Wishes to Trust!

Dragon’s Den James Caan and C4’s Secret Millionnaire, Gill Fielding, round up all the fantastic birthday cakes the DKH Legacy Trust has been receiving this month as celebrations of our 2nd year anniversary round up to a close.

Beverly James (middle) from Elements Consulting with James Cann ( first right) and Gill Fielding (first left)Glowing with praise for the work we do with young people, James Caan, speaking at the EBA Business Growth Day with the Trust’s partner, Elements Consulting, kindly told us,

"Wishing Dame Kelly Holmes and the DKH Legacy Trust a Happy Birthday and continued success.

The work which Dame Kelly Holmes and the DKH Legacy Trust continue to do with young people in the UK is absolutely invaluable and very inspiring. Charities like this can encourage and motivate children to achieve things that they otherwise would not have been able to. I believe Kelly and everyone at The DKH Legacy Trust deserves huge congratulations for everything they have accomplished in the past year. They have changed the lives of youngsters who were once at a disadvantage and have done some incredible work with those who will, one day, represent the future"

A fantastic cake with well wishes from the Think Big team at the National Youth Agency also arrived at the DKH Legacy Trust’s offices.

The Think Big Team from The National Youth AgencyIt comes as the Trust, along with the National Youth Agency are currently developing a partnership with the O2’s ‘Think Big’ programme, which encourages young people to make a positive difference to their local communities by awarding them funds to create volunteering projects.

For the Trust, being a key delivering partner of the programme nationwide will mean we will be able to provide its young people on initiatives, such as the Get On Track programme, volunteering opportunities as a route to training and employment for the unemployed.

Andy Callard, Development Officer at the National Youth Agency told the Trust,

"What a brilliant challenge to set the Think Big team.  We had great fun with the cake and look forward to working more with the DKH Legacy Trust, Happy Birthday!"

The Trust would like to say a big thank you to everybody for their birthday well wishes! To see a gallery of all our birthday cakes, click here
