The Great British Bike Relay, put on by sponsors GyroHSR aims to raise funds for both of the charities involved, in recognition of the fantastic support they are giving the talented young sports performers of today, helping them make it to the top tomorrow.

Dame Kelly Holmes, who is President of Commonwealth Games England, has got right behind the teams taking part. Having benefitted from the support of SportsAid as a young athlete, and gone on to win 12 medals at major championships, including her two golds in Athens, she knows the importance of giving talented young sports performers the right support at the right time.

Dame Kelly said,  “I was given a chance through sport to fulfil my potential as I grew up, and I want through my charity to give other kids that chance too. I have been very fortunate throughout my career to enjoy the support of the British public and really hope that people get behind my charity and SportsAid by supporting the GyroHSR Great British Bike Relay!”

If this sounds like a challenge for you, sign up now! To join the team, each rider will need to raise £1,500. Your money will support the country’s talented young sports people through the work of the two charities involved.
